I love traveling! I have been to most of these places on the picture.. New York, Paris, London, Philadelphia, Chicago, LA, Hoover dam..
My parents left yesterday to spend some time together in Germany, before they leave they always tell us not to make a mess, clean up etc.
They are coming back tomorrow, one of the things I like to do is to make sure everything is neat when they come back.
What bugs me though is that I always do all the work. While I am doing the laundry, folding the laundry, cooking, cleaning the bird cage, shopping for groceries, vacuuming, clean up the kitchen, empty and load the dishwasher my 17 year old brother is drinking loads of beer, hanging out with his friends, playing guitar and sitting behind the pc.
I asked him a couple of times to clean up all the beer cans that are standing on his desk, but he simply refuses, saying he will do it tomorrow. (he wants to “impress” his friends) When I ask him to vacuum all he does is moan and cry, and when he does vacuum he does it in two minutes (obviously only vacuuming the central parts, while I vacuum every corner there is, takes me 10 minutes)
It annoys me so very much! He is Autistic, what basically means my parents blame everything he does on that disease. I can not deal very well with autistic people..
Walked to the supermarket again, only this time I took the long way. It is super warm outside, I’m glad I had a bottle of water with me! I bought a lot of items and I had to carry them all back to the house, that was not an easy task!
When I lived in Spain I lived in a tourism area. That meant that there were lots of souvenir shops & small supermarkets (overpriced of course). Everytime I wanted to buy a lot of groceries I had to walk to the big supermarket Carrefour about 20 minutes away (I did not have a car or bicycle). I always bought a lot of stuff so I wouldn’t have to go so often. In the soaring heat I then had to carry everything back to my appartment. You can imagine how hard that was to do lol. Sometimes I was lazy and I took the little tourist train to the supermarket.
During that time I gained weight because the food they served us was not very good to say the least. I ended up going to the nearest supermarket to get a baguette with Spanish ham (yum :P) or I ate a can of sausages (with mayo of course) during lunch. Really bad, I know!
The problem was that we had a really really small fridge that I had to share with 3 others. We didn’t have a freezer either.. We used to have a very big fridge but that broke down, our boss bought us a new one that was much smaller.
Then I went to live in Germany for five months and I lost weight! I had my own bungalow to live in with kitchen etc. That made a huge difference. I went swimming every day & I ate more healthy.
