Stronger than ever

Taking it one step at a time

Walked to the supermarket again, only this time I took the long way. It is super warm outside, I’m glad I had a bottle of water with me! I bought a lot of items and I had to carry them all back to the house, that was not an easy task!

When I lived in Spain I lived in a tourism area. That meant that there were lots of souvenir shops & small supermarkets (overpriced of course). Everytime I wanted to buy a lot of groceries I had to walk to the big supermarket Carrefour about 20 minutes away (I did not have a car or bicycle). I always bought a lot of stuff so I wouldn’t have to go so often. In the soaring heat I then had to carry everything back to my appartment. You can imagine how hard that was to do lol. Sometimes I was lazy and I took the little tourist train to the supermarket.

During that time I gained weight because the food they served us was not very good to say the least. I ended up going to the nearest supermarket to get a baguette with Spanish ham (yum :P) or I ate a can of sausages (with mayo of course) during lunch. Really bad, I know!

The problem was that we had a really really small fridge that I had to share with 3 others. We didn’t have a freezer either.. We used to have a very big fridge but that broke down, our boss bought us a new one that was much smaller.

Then I went to live in Germany for five months and I lost weight! I had my own bungalow to live in with kitchen etc. That made a huge difference. I went swimming every day & I ate more healthy.
